High-level committee formed in Maharashtra for transparency in recruitment examinations
Maharashtra forms a high-level committee to enhance transparency and fairness in recruitment examinations through stakeholder consultations and reforms.
The Committee will visit each Revenue Division in the State and hold discussions and consultations with students, candidates, representatives of educational institutions and other relevant stakeholders.

The government of Maharashtra formed a high-level committee to study the existing examination system and suggest necessary reforms to make state government recruitment examinations more transparent, secure, reliable, fair and candidate-oriented, according to a decision by the General Administration Department in this regard.
In a meeting held on 12 August 2026 chaired by the Chief Minister, it was decided to completely review the recruitment examination system in the State. Accordingly, a seven-member committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary (Services) of the General Administration Department, V. Radha. The committee comprises Director General of Police Sadanand Date, Secretary, Electronics, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence Department Virendra Singh, Divisional Commissioner, Nashik Division Praveen Gedam, former Union Public Service Commission member Air Marshal Ajit Shankarrao Bhosale (retd) and Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai as members. Dr. N. Ramaswamy, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying Development and Fisheries, will be the member secretary of the committee.
The Committee will visit each Revenue Division in the State and hold discussions and consultations with students, candidates, representatives of educational institutions and other relevant stakeholders. Improvements in the examination system will be suggested taking into account their views and suggestions. If necessary, best practices from other States and examination systems from other countries will also be studied.
