Saahas, a social enterprise focused on sustainable waste management, is having its annual repair event, Repair Maadi, at Basavanagudi till 5 p.m. on Saturday (October 24, 2026) at the Indian Institute of World Culture, where anyone can walk in to get things repaired or even learn to repair themselves.

“We are having a laptop maintenance workshop, carpentry from discarded wood pieces, decorations from fabric waste and many others. You can also get your shoes/clothes/umbrella/appliances/laptop/suitcases/bags that need repair,” said Mr. Saahas in a release.

“The idea is to keep things useful for longer and resist the temptation of buying new stuff every sale/discount season. Less waste and of course support livelihoods of cobblers/tailors/electricians etc.

People can walk in any time between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. into the Indian Institute of World Culture on B.P. Wadia Road in Basavanagudi to participate.
