Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the final trailer for Dune: Part Three, the concluding chapter of Denis Villeneuve’s science-fiction trilogy starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya. Released on October 27, the latest preview follows Paul Atreides nearly two decades after he seized control of the Imperium, depicting him as an emperor confronting rebellion, political conspiracies and the consequences of his holy war. The film is scheduled to arrive in international theatres from December 16, followed by its Indian release on December 18, 2026.

Based on Frank Herbert’s 1969 novel Dune Messiah, the film follows Paul as his rule comes under threat from enemies within and beyond his empire. The trailer highlights the growing divide between Paul and Chani, played by Zendaya, who emerges as a central figure in the conspiracy against his reign. Haunted by visions of the Imperium’s collapse, Paul must confront the consequences of his decisions as resistance gathers strength across the universe.

The preview also offers a closer look at Robert Pattinson as Scytale, a Face Dancer and one of the key antagonists in Herbert’s novel. The shape-shifting character becomes part of a wider conspiracy targeting Paul, while the footage teases political manoeuvring, large-scale battles and the return of familiar faces from the previous films. It also provides a first look at Paul and Chani’s twin children, Leto II and Ghanima, played by Nakoa-Wolf Momoa and Ida Brooke, respectively.

Chalamet and Zendaya return alongside Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides and Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho. The ensemble also includes Charlotte Rampling and Isaach de Bankolé. Villeneuve directs from a screenplay co-written with Brian K. Vaughan, adapting the second novel in Herbert’s original Dune series.

Villeneuve has described the film as an epilogue to the first two instalments, with a different tone and a greater emphasis on political thriller elements. The director previously adapted Herbert’s Dune in 2021 and Dune: Part Two in 2024, with both films receiving critical acclaim and multiple Academy Award nominations.

Dune: Part Three is produced by Legendary Pictures in association with Warner Bros. Pictures and Image Nation Studios. The film will release internationally beginning December 16, 2026, before opening in North American theatres and IMAX on December 18.
